Mary is an Occupational Physician with special interests in back pain and return to work management.
Mary is the founder of www.rtwmatters.org, an online resource for people involved with Return To Work (RTW) management. Mary also works in clinical practice and is a lecturer at Monash University. She is the Chair of the non-profit Resworks (The Foundation for Research into Injury and Illness in the Workplace Inc.) established in 2004, and is involved with policy development through the Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Between 2000 and 2005, Mary managed a national early intervention program implemented across a number of large organisations. Mary is actively involved with research, including into factors that influence RTW in psychological cases.
